Quarterly recap: December version

Apparently this is just how it’s working out. Although……I do have some blog posts brewing in my head, working on how to find the time and energy to put them HERE.

October brought out some foliage, a baptism (who doesn’t love the smell of chrism oil on a baby’s head?!?!?), a visit from our youngest son, some backyard fire pit time, apple picking, cider donuts, a flannel festival, hikes with friends, a foot surgery, and a return to crocheting (it is winter time after all!).

November brought more hikes, our first snowfall, exploring Lebanon, enjoying Christmas at the Fells, a quiet Thanksgiving with a friend and fellow traveler, Christmas tree cutting, house decorating, hot chocolate, TikTok apple muffins and prepping/planning/ordering the annual Christmas card.

Per life these days, time is flying by. Looking back, I’m glad to see we are enjoying our days here, especially since we have now entered the dark at 4:30pm time of year, which means I am in PJs as early as possible every evening. It’s all good tho, and I’m tackling winter projects slowly, making curtains, reading books, crocheting, staying active. Actually, the curtains are in the “planning phase”, but they are happening.

Soon.

Ish.

Happy Advent and peace this winter season!
